For a while now, the Lord has been dealing with me about praying for my enemies. It’s not exactly an easy task! It feels like it goes against all logic. Most of the time I don’t know what to pray. How do you pray for someone who’s hurt you? Well, that’s where the Holy Spirit steps in. When I told God, “I have no idea what to pray,” Holy Spirit brought these verses to mind:
“10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” – Philippians 2:10-11
He was telling me to pray for their salvation. God wants all of us saved. Even our enemies.
If you are struggling with praying for your enemies, you’re not alone. But when we press into the Lord, He softens our hearts to do so and will guide us in our prayers. I will be sharing more about this subject as the Lord leads. So, feel free to follow along!
