As believers we are not guaranteed an easier life because we believe in God. In fact, the Bible says that we’re going to go through trials, and even be persecuted because of our faith.
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33
“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” 1 Peter 4:12
The good news is that the Bible also says that we’re overcomers. Jesus already overcame the world, so because we have Him, we too are overcomers. Because He already has the victory, so do we.
When I’m going through a trial or a difficult season God always reminds me of this verse, Romans 8:28, which says:
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.”There are so many times that we go through difficult situations or trials in our lives. It could be anything from someone slandering you, an illness, loss of a loved one, financial problems, difficulties in your marriage or with your kids…the list goes on. HOWEVER, as a child of God we have this advantage during those times: God is working it all out for our good!
What Satan has meant to harm us or destroy us, God will actually turn it around for our good. No weapon formed against us will prosper. Stay in faith. Press into God. You will see Him turn it around for your good. What the enemy sent as a curse, God will turn around into a blessing.
