Earlier today, I was feeling really overwhelmed and just wanted to cry. So I went into my room, closed the door and I just started talking to God. I cried as I told him how I was feeling (even though He already knew). I asked him some questions. I asked him what to do about the issue that was causing me stress. Then I sat there, and I listened for his answer, and I got peace.
Later I was thinking, “You know, how awesome is it that I have full access to the Creator of the universe anytime I want, and He will give me his undivided attention anytime I want it?” As daughters of the King, we have access to the King anytime we want. And I just think that’s amazing. You know, growing up, we might not have had access to our parents whenever we wanted. Maybe they weren’t able to stop what they were doing all the time when we really needed them. Maybe their work wouldn’t allow them to talk on the phone. Maybe they just weren’t available. But it blows my mind that our Creator and the Creator of the universe is there for us, giving us His 100% full attention whenever we need Him.
